Review of Nightmare On Elm Street 2010

Just had to post a little something real quick.  Myself and London D just got back in from seeing A Nightmare On Elm St.  I will have to say that I really enjoyed the movie. I mean I really liked it.  Being someone that has seen all the previous NOES (Nightmare On Elm Street) movies, I definitely think it was time and past due for a remake.  I mean after seeing remakes of Halloween and Friday 13th, I knew it would not be long.   I have read mixed reviews about the movie and still had to see it for myself.  After all, everyone doesn’t have the same taste.

I do recommend that if you have not seen the movie, that you go and check it you. You don’t have to take my word for it and anyone else. Please go and see the movie for yourself.  I think this was so good seriously. I will always be a big fan of Robert Englund playing the original Freddy, but there is nothing wrong with bringing someone in new . The voice, face,  movement everything was different and something new to expect from the new Freddy.

What I liked about the movie? Well I’ll start with Freddy.  I really do like the new Freddy and how they did his make up this time around.  He actually looks more of a horror character.  I also like the fact now that when he walks he rubs his blades together, kinda to create a distraction I would assume and to create that fear factor.  When he talks he there are some comical things said, but its nothing to take away form the movie and make it into a comedy.  The movie brought a few of the other NOES all in one.  I remember in the original NOES part 2, the guy named Jesse in the movie, who was being possessed by Freddy. I believe he was in this one as well.  I really could not be clear on all of the character names besides Nancy of course. I liked the storyline of the movie. It was a combination of  a couple of the NOES movies all in one.

I really think that this is not going to be the end. I think they will make at least one or two more, without getting carried away with the sequels.  They didn’t do it with Halloween and neither did they do it with Texas Chainsaw Massacre. When you start getting into all the damn sequels, I feel that it takes away from the movie and the character.

WELL I WENT TO SEE THIS MOVIE WITH LONDON AND A COUPLE OF FRIENDS AND I DONT KNOW. I MEAN THE MOVIE WAS OK, BUT HOW MANY MORE MOVIES ARE GOING TO BE MADE WHERE EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING IN THE SAME PLACE.  THE DINER WAS GETTING TO BE VERY OLD TO ME.  THE OPENING THREW ME OFF A LITTLE BIT. THERE WERE PARTS IN THE MOVIE WHICH I FEEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED IN THE BEGINNING, YOU KNOW TO SET THE STORY LINE STRAIGHT.  AFTER ALL, NOT EVERYONE READS THE BIBLE.

THIS MOVIE ALSO PUT ME IN THE MIND OF THE MOVIE CALLED THE PROPHECY.  I MEAN WHICH ONE IS IT GOING TO BE. EITHER GABRIEL IS GOING TO BE PORTRAYED AS A WEAK ANGEL OR A STRONG ONE. WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS MOST OF US KNOW WHAT HIS ROLE IS IN ACCORDING TO THE STORY BEING THE MESSENGER AND MICHAEL BEING THE ANGEL OF DEATH. I WAS READING UP ON SOMETHINGS AND KINDA REMINDED MY SELF OF SOMETHINGS.

BUT NON THE LESS I THINK THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THE MOVIE OUT ANYWAY.  ITS NOT AS GOOD AS THE BOOK OF ELI BUT ITS STILL WORTH GOING TO SEE. I WOULD NOT SAY THAT I WOULD GO AND SEE THE MOVIE AGAIN BUT JUST WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT ON DVD AND RENT IT OR BUY IT TO JUST HAVE AT HOME WHEN I NEED SOMETHING TO WATCH.

WHATS UP PEOPLE. ITS BEEN GOOD TALKING TO SOME OF YOU ON TWITTER AND FACEBOOK.  IF YOU HAVE BEEN HITTIN ME UP ON MY SPACE, I DO APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY. I AM NOT ON THERE AS MUCH AS I AM ON TWITTER AND FACE BOOK.   BUT AGAIN I DO APPRECIATE THE COMMUNICATION.

THINGS HAVE BEEN KIND OF BUSY FOR ME AS OF LATELY. A LOT OF THINGS COMING UP AND I HAVE BEEN REALLY BUSY MAKING PLANS FOR FUTURE LOCATIONS THAT I WILL BE FILMING.  THIS YEAR I WILL NOT BE DOING AS MANY PROMOTIONAL TRIPS AS I DID LAST YEAR BUT YOU ALL WILL STILL SEE ME IF I DECIDE TO COME A VISIT YOUR CITY FOR SOME FILMING.  I NORMALLY ALWAYS TRY TO GO OUT TO A FEW OF THE CLUBS JUST TO CHECK OUT THE SCENE.

I THINK I WILL MAINLY FOCUS ON DOING PROMOS DURING BIG EVENTS LIKE PRIDE ATLANTA, PRIDE MIAMI (SIZZLE) AND HOUSTON SPLASH.  PLACES LIKE THAT.  I WILL HOW EVER BE IN TALLAHASSEE, FL THIS YEAR FOR THEIR PRIDE IN APRIL. I WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED ON THAT ONE. I AM WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH BOI ENTERTAINMENT AND THEY HAVE ALREADY BOOKED ME FOR THE WEEKEND. IT WILL BE FUN IM SURE, BECAUSE I HAVE HEARD THAT ITS THE FIRST TIME FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

NEXT IS THERE HAVE BEEN A RELEASE OF TWO DVD TITLES FROM ROCKAFELLAZ ENTERTAINMENT.  ROCKAFELLAZ 2 AND RAW DICKIN IT 3. I HAVE SEEN A LOT  OF GOOD FEED BACK FROM THE COCOSTORE FROM THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE SEEN IT OR THAT HAVE SEEN THE TRAILER.  I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL ON THE REAL. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE LONG OR NOTHING LIKE THAT.  JUST LET ME KNOW WASUP. ALSO I HAVE BEEN WORKING VERY HARD TO GET YOU SOME GOOD STUFF FOR 2010.  I WILL, AS I ALWAYS DO KEEP YOU POSTED.  THATS WHY MY BLOG POSTS HAVE BEEN SO FAR APART.  SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME LOL.

AVATAR Movie Review

Tonight was the premier night for The AVATAR. Remember this is the movie that I blogged about because of the title.  I went to see the movie and I must say the movie was well worth going to see. I still stand on the fact that it should have been titled something else, but of course that is my opinion.  Alright, back to the movie. This movie was definitely worth going to see at the midnight showing.  It was be along with my baby of course London, Cody Kyler, Christian Armani (cocodorm),  Baby Boy, Breion Diamond, my business partner (CEO of Flava Works) and a few other guests. Yea this was something that was planned as a little late gathering.  There was a long line to get in of course and at the confession stand.  We went to see the The Avatar at the Navy Peir IMAX Theater here in Chicago.  The movie was also in 3D which made it going to see even better.

The special effects and the action scenes were excellent. I will say that James Cameron really did it up with this one. There was not a boring point in this movie to me. It had several moments where I was thinking like whats going to happen next or if the good guy is going to win. There were even times when I was wondering who the good guy was, didn’t take long though.

M. Night Shyalaman has definitely got his work cut out for him and I am hoping that the Last Air Bender is just as good. I know that some people have not cared much for his preivous movies, but I think this might be where he makes up for some of his past movies.

Just make sure you all go out and check out the movie. Give it a shot and trust me its not a waste of time. The movie is about 3 hours long. Its best to see it at a really nice theater or IMAX and in 3D. Maybe afterwards you all can give me some of your feedback and what you thought of the movie.
