AVATAR Movie Review

Tonight was the premier night for The AVATAR. Remember this is the movie that I blogged about because of the title.  I went to see the movie and I must say the movie was well worth going to see. I still stand on the fact that it should have been titled something else, but of course that is my opinion.  Alright, back to the movie. This movie was definitely worth going to see at the midnight showing.  It was be along with my baby of course London, Cody Kyler, Christian Armani (cocodorm),  Baby Boy, Breion Diamond, my business partner (CEO of Flava Works) and a few other guests. Yea this was something that was planned as a little late gathering.  There was a long line to get in of course and at the confession stand.  We went to see the The Avatar at the Navy Peir IMAX Theater here in Chicago.  The movie was also in 3D which made it going to see even better.

The special effects and the action scenes were excellent. I will say that James Cameron really did it up with this one. There was not a boring point in this movie to me. It had several moments where I was thinking like whats going to happen next or if the good guy is going to win. There were even times when I was wondering who the good guy was, didn’t take long though.

M. Night Shyalaman has definitely got his work cut out for him and I am hoping that the Last Air Bender is just as good. I know that some people have not cared much for his preivous movies, but I think this might be where he makes up for some of his past movies.

Just make sure you all go out and check out the movie. Give it a shot and trust me its not a waste of time. The movie is about 3 hours long. Its best to see it at a really nice theater or IMAX and in 3D. Maybe afterwards you all can give me some of your feedback and what you thought of the movie.

JackManley Interview

Wasup errbody.  I want to say thanks to everyone that posted a comment regarding the comment that was made about me. Just to reassure you all that I am not at all bothered.

Moving along. I just thought that I would post this interview that was done at the Cyber Socket awards with Jackmanly.com earlier this year.  They started off with Breion Diamond, and well some how they came to me and wanted to know what was up with the Gangsta of Porn. So being the businessman that I am I went ahead and broke it down for them.

NYC Promo at Club Splash

Once again I’m back in the NYC. I swear people would think that I live there. I go to NYC almost the same as I go to Atlanta. Well this trip was kind of short as well. Breion and me went to for a promo party at Splash. I will say that this is one of my favorite clubs to go to in NYC. Especially when they have special nights where the club is so crowded. But that is always a good thing.

After a few drinks (no I was not driving afterwards) it was time to start the giveaway. Well this was done a little different than how we did it last time. But lets just say that we did give away the DVDs. Now I told my self that I was not going to comment on this but I can ignore it.

Check this out, after the table was setup and the DVDs and calendars was all in place. I was trying to tell everyone that we were going to wait before we started giving things away because we wanted to make sure people weren’t getting two of the same DVD and not allowing others to try and get one. Don’t get me wrong, we did not nearly have enough movies for every one in the club to get one, but to just start snatching stuff off the table and ignoring the fact that we asked you to wait. Some people wonder what causes a porn star to be stuck up or rude toward people. Hmm let me think, cold shit like this is one of them. I mean, you’re getting it for free, we are not charging you for anything. Look, all im saying is have a little respect for us when we are out promoting.

Now I will say this for the record, nothing like this has happened in Atlanta, St. Louis, Houston, Dallas or DC. It was the first time that it happened in NYC. Over all I’m good. I just wanted people to have an idea what it is like dealing with promos and events like this one.

Cyber Socket Awards Los Angeles

After a long ass flight I arrived in Los Angeles. Tired as fuck when I made it down to the baggage claim area I meet up with Breion Diamond. We were in town for the Annual Cyber Socket awards. This would be my first time attending this event and sure to enjoy it. We made it to our hotel and then had to hurry and change because the event stated at 9pm and we still needed to grab something to eat.

We went to this restaurant called Hamburger Mary’s. Wow, the food there was off the chain. The wings were good of course but the hamburgers, damn. Kinda hard to explain but let’s just keep it at they were on point. While we were there we meet up with Hotrod. Yea you remember Hotrod. One of the sexy additions to Rockafellaz, he was in that hot ass 3 some in Raw Rods 2. That I must say was unforgettable.

Moving long, we arrived at the event and mingled with other attendees. The drinks were free so you know we got lit. There were a couple of interviews that were done with me and Breion and then some with both of individually. Chi Chi Laru was the MC for the event and did a pretty good job at announcing.

I was there on behalf of my partner CEO of Flava Works and also to get my face and the face of Rockafellaz Entertainment seen at a known event. I know that next year I will be there accepting a couple of awards for my company.

Several sites that are owned by Flava Works were nominated in several categories’. There were times when they had two sites that were nominated in the same category. Thugboy.com won the award for “Best Black Ethnic themed site”. Breion, me and another representative from Flava Works accepted the award.

After the award show we all headed back to our rooms and basically packed up and got shit ready to head out the next morning, early.

Next stop, NYC.
